• Take a nature cruise with Island Cruises in Bass Harbor. These small cruises (49 passengers max) are a wonderful way to see the outer islands and the local fauna. In addition to seeing seals, ospreys, and eagles, you will learn about lobster fishing first hand when a lobster trap is pulled from the water.

Paddle a kayak, either in yours from our shore or with a small group tour in Southwest Harbor (highly recommended, even for beginners). If you bring your own kayak, you can paddle in Bass Harbor right from our shore, or take your kayak to one of the many coves and harbors scattered throughout the island. Rent a canoe or kayak and explore Great Long Pond, the largest lake in the Park.

• Experience a sunset sail or lighthouse tour aboard The Downeast Friendship Sloop. The sloop carries a maximum of 6 guests and sails out of Southwest Harbor.

• Go whale watching aboard the Friendship V

• Visit the Cranberry Islands.

• Go deep sea fishing aboard the Masako Queen from Southwest Harbor.
